Curated by Samuel Bruce, the 2009 Electro_Online program showcases exciting online artworks made in the last two years.
This year we’re pleased to bring you eleven great works from all corners of the web, ranging from crowdsourced re-enactments of a scene from Full House to a series of films available only on peer-to-peer networks. There’s a videogame that will delete the files on your hard drive – or itself, and a program that fills them with redundant code. You’ll hear music recomposed by lagging YouTube servers, sonifications of eBay account data, and Daisy Bell as sung by the collective voice of the internet.
In the lead-up to the festival, new works will be posted each day on the Electro_Online site, and announced over our Facebook and Twitter accounts (quite the up-to-date festival, we are). Samuel Bruce will also be talking about this year’s program at 10:30am on Thursday morning. No better way to kick off the festival we think. For more details, click the handy link below:

Rodrigo Marcal studied film in Rio de Janeiro and is a self-taught musician. ARPX, his studio, created the soundtrack for more than 30 Brazilian theater plays and movies.

Randolf Reimann aka Tra La La Blip uses Ableton Live, running workshops for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. He has an in-depth knowledge of this platform, having adopted the software into his musical practice back in 2001.
Facilitated by Accessible Arts, Randolf will run a two-hour workshop using Ableton Live, kicking off the Electrofringe festival on the morning of Thursday 1st October. Spread the word…
