Call for Board Members

Electrofringe Ltd runs an international year-round program of electronic arts and culture events including the annual Electrofringe festival, as part of This Is Not Art held in Newcastle, NSW. The organisation is dedicated towards fostering emerging artists and artforms through skills development and artistic exchange. The This Is Not Art (TINA) festival is Australia’s largest gathering of artists, activities and commentators and is made of five independent festivals, of which Electrofringe is the largest. The other partner festivals include the National Young Writers Festival, Sound Summit, Critical Animals and the Crack Theatre festival.

Each year the Electrofringe festival represents the work of over 250 artists and presents over 100 events across a five-day period. Electrofringe relies on the input and support of the electronic arts community and embodies DIY culture.

More information about Electrofringe can be found on this website.

This year marks the thirteenth anniversary for Electrofringe. The group incorporated as a not-for-profit Australian public company limited by guarantee in 2008 and is continuing to develop a robust infrastructure for the organisation. Electrofringe is managed by a small volunteer directorate and is a community based, artist-run organisation. Board members play a “hands-on” role in the development and operation of the organisation.

We are looking for new members to join the Board of Electrofringe who have professional experience in the financial, business or fundraising sectors plus an interest in electronic arts or DIY culture.

Please send an expression of interest outlining your relevant experience, interests, and attributes you can bring to the Electrofringe Board and a CV (up to 3 pages) to:
